When you reinforce positive behavior, it lets your team know what they’re doing right and encourages them to repeat it. It also makes it easier to course-correct later.
Consider how often you take the time to slow down and pay attention to what’s going on around you and to other people’s contributions. Your focus doesn’t need to revolve around what’s next on your to-do list.
Be transparent. Don’t make your team guess when it comes to the future of the business or your frame of mind. Your team counts on you for confidence, excitement, and stability.
Celebrating their teamwork and efforts, and highlighting the effects of it, results in a better environment for everyone.

Your team is the future of your company. Keep this top of mind. When we invest in people, they grow, they learn, and we maximize their skills, talents, and results. If team members believe you see them as a cost, they’re less likely to go the extra mile for you.
Make sure everyone knows your “why.” Give your team members confidence, clarity, and a language they can use to communicate your purpose. This will support them in making sales and solving problems, and will always leverage you.
In today’s world, people aren’t just buying a “what” or a “how.” They’re deeply invested in your why. They want to know the people behind the business.
Practice being grateful. When you’re in a state of appreciation, whatever you’re appreciating, you increase its value.
This is one of the most powerful and energetic places to operate from. It has the ability to transform relationships and communication, and will affect what you believe is possible.
Value contribution over status. It doesn’t matter where you are in your business—whether you were hired last week or have been running the place for 25 years—it’s vital to stay focused on the goal of contributing. Celebrating your team and your purpose is a good way to do this.
